The great Cyan is well past her prime, and all you're doing now is clogging up the track. Getting in the way of MY progress. If you keep this up the betting will get too slanted in my favor, and then I catch the flack by getting more accusations hurled at me. So you're gonna tell me: what the hell's gotten into you lately?"
Words don't fall out of Cyan's mouth. They won't even line up in her brain right. There's a long, long pause before she can finally whisper out, dizzy with awe: "I can't stop looking at you."

Summary
It's over, it's over, it's over. The realization dawns gently on Zelda's face as she beholds the unblighted skies, the relief on Link's face. There's foggy, fading memories of a body that tried to be hers, with claws and teeth flashing against dark scales and a vivid blood moon, and she finally lets herself believe. They've done it this time, really done it this time; there's no 100 years of grief and ruined homes and races of Hyrule mourning the champions that were ripped from them.
This is her home to keep, this time. She gets to have a future after all. Relief bursts in Zelda's heart. "Oh, Link, I'm home!"

Wherever the rest of Entrapta’s sentence is going to go, it falls away. The whole room falls away as understanding hits Catra like a bolt of lightning, an electrifying shock to her system that leaves her reeling. Getting married? Her and Adora? Questions well up on her tongue — What? Why? — and she doesn’t realize she has fumbled through those fragmented inquiries until Frosta answers her.

Summary
Pure Vanilla Cookie felt like he was dreaming.
The past few hours had passed in a blur, Pure Vanilla wrapped up in a tangle of troubled thoughts, unable to truly concentrate on the task at hand. He’d learned so much about White Lily Cookie, about his Soul Jam, about Earthbread as he knew it– but the knowledge he had gained felt… Far away. Distant, almost, as though it had retreated into a far-off corner in his mind; vaguely present yet unreachable nonetheless.
He could smell that achingly familiar lily scent, feel his solid staff under his fingers, hear the soft faerie song around them, taste the terrified bile rising in the back of his throat. He could see her right in front of him. By all means, with such adrenaline pumping through his veins, Pure Vanilla ought to have been more grounded in reality than ever before.
And yet, as he looked into White Lily’s bright magenta eyes, lucidity felt a hundred miles away.
OR: In which Pure Vanilla and White Lily had a little more time to talk before being thrown back into battle.

As soon as Ruby passes through Weiss’ wall and into her room, Weiss throws a glass of water at her. It, of course, falls to the ground, and Ruby watches the fluffy-looking carpet soak up the liquid.
Clicking her tongue, she looks up at Weiss. “Did you just throw water at me?”
Weiss looks back and forth between stained carpet and the now-empty glass with a glare. “It’s holy, supposedly.”
Ruby’s jaw drops. “You think I’m, like, a demon or something?”

Ruby dreads sleeping, because what that means for her is astral-projecting around Vale aimlessly while her body gets the rest it deserves.
Then, she finds a girl who can see her in her astral form. And Ruby no longer dreads sleeping.
