Summary
Rumi is a creature made to love. This is a fact she knows. She knows it in the way her hands reach out to touch guided by instinct. She knows it in the way her mind clears when she thinks about her girls. She knows it.
And therein comes her fear. Who was to say her love wasn't poison? Was there such a thing as loving too much? (Yes.) Something wretched in her wanting? (A wolf in sheep's clothing. She would be their undoing.)
God, she worries she might drown them in it.

She might be risking everything if she did this. Even if they all survived, she might not have a relationship to come back to. Would they be able to understand that she didn’t want to hurt, didn’t want to die anymore, that she had run out of options? Would they hate her if all she left them with was a grave next to her mothers?
