Summary
Wings are a symbol of ambition, of power, of respect.
They are not something that can be taken from the universe by force, they must be given. They are given to only the most capable, to the worthy.
And Techno just woke up with wings.
OR
AU where wings are a sign of being blessed by the gods or something along those lines. The royal family are the only ones to ever have wings, but the universe decides to have a bit of fun, and gives Techno some.
This causes some issues, considering the fact the royal family hears of Techno's new wings, and then deems him to be family. Even if Techno doesn't think the same.

Stories that are told around campfires, told around the butter churn and whispered around hearths. Stories told to children as they’re tucked into bed, gentle warm hands soothing their brows and speaking with low tones as they relay the stories of grandeur and magic.
