Susie's head snapped to Kris, who was currently sitting on the sofa next to her with an irritatingly smug expression. “The HELL was that, Kris?? You didn't tell me you could read minds?!”
Kris just shrugged in response, mumbling something like, “it’s not actual mind reading.” Then, they grinned, watching the wheels turn behind Susie’s eyes as she tried to figure out what she’d just seen.
“Okay, okay.” Susie dragged a hand over her face, expression absolutely priceless. “So you were serious about you said earlier? Ralsei really told you in the prison cell today, in your words, to ‘close your eyes and think about Susie’ and you could just- see everything I was doing??” She snorted despite herself, shaking her head incredulously. “And even hear my thoughts, apparently?? Get real.”
Or, Kris teaches Susie how to 'close eyes and think about Noelle.'
This produces some.... interesting results.

But, something far worse is festering under the smiling puppet-like mask he wears, something that becomes harder to conceal the closer he gets to them.
Decades after Cyber City was ravaged by flesh-eating computer worms, few remember the infestation of 1997. After all, there was no point dwelling on it when the vile parasites had been fully eradicated. There was no chance that one had survived.
