“Am I dead?”
The question was meek, reserved. Like she was pleading to be allowed to exist. Vi’s heart fractured at the words, as she slowly shook her head, trying to keep her sister calm after that torturous surgery. It was not the best start to their reunion, but when did she ever get anything to do with her loved one's right on the first try. She had long since learned to roll with the punches, knowing there is always more to come.
“No, Pow, you’re safe here. With me. I promise.”
“…Where is, here?”
