D'arce couldn't get rid of the feeling that they were being watched. She could hear sounds, sometimes of steps, sometimes of something closer to an eerie giggle. Often, she would see things moving through the corners of her eyes, only to disappear as soon as she turned to face them. And now, every time she tried to rest, she would jolt awake with an urge to scream.

Darce's failed run meets Cahara's S ending.
In other words, after being brutally assaulted by one of the cave guards (but by some miracle, not being maimed too badly, or killed), a barely surviving D'arce is convinced she has failed her mission. And seeing Cahara, a man she has never met before, emerge from the darkness with treasures, bizarre company, and a haunted smile, all but confirms it.

She is here at the end of his life.
She is glad to be here despite her monotonous and echoey words, causing new sensitive goosebumps for every letter spoken. Every word has perfect diction, its feminine voice sounds almost overlayed with others. Despite that, there is a careful delicacy to her phrasing, trying to be palatable yet stern.
The Goddess and Cahara have a heart to heart which requires a sacrifice.
