Summary
The Vulcan’s study is deathly quiet as Spock pours over the latest samples sent to him for analysis. They were from a very particular planet recently under Federation jurisdiction that was under the current study. A beautiful and bountiful planet, as he had been informed. The samples themselves were a mixture of soil, sediment, water, and other organic materials straight from the planet’s surface, sent to him to analyze and report findings for the overall study of the planet.
or: Spock gets absorbed in his work and Jim has to break him out of his trance.

Summary
The night air hanging around the corridors of the villa smelt ofthe musky scent of perfume and spices, wafting through the halls and up into the night sky. The slaves roamed around the grounds in a dazy haze, their sheer fabrics clinging to their silky skin, billowing in the nightly breeze. The Dominus and Domina of the house were languidly enjoying pleasures of the flesh in their own quarters, drinking a hearty share of wine and laughing like giddy children. It was on these nights that dark corners could provide ample space for secret meetings and whisperings in the night.
