Summary

Getting close to the Inquisitor was a calculated move born from necessity. Therein lies the issue, his feelings for this elven child that came on far too quickly and intensely.
The two come together in unprecedented times, seeking solace in each other. Love blooms, ensnares them both without any warning. Solas knows he should walk away, but even the Dread Wolf can lose his heart to the right thief. Helaine knows all the tales of the Trickster god, yet it’s different to look him in the eyes. She couldn’t shut him out if she wanted to. She can only hope love is enough to bridge the gap between them.

"It's over. I'm done with it," Astarion's voice was a broken whisper, barely audible over his sobs. He was speaking to himself, affirming the end of a chapter steeped in torment. The sight was heartbreaking. Sad. He knelt there for a moment, as if trying to believe what had happened.
Then, rising from the ground and lifting his bloodshot eyes to meet Tav's, his expression twisted into something bitter and cold. "And I'm done with you," he spat out venomously.
Tav's step faltered, her hand still suspended in the air. Confusion and hurt welled up inside her. "What?" she stammered, her mind racing to make sense of his words. He was in shock, surely. The trauma, the bloodshed, it had to be too much.
But Astarion's voice cut through her thoughts, icy and trembling with a raw edge of emotion she had never heard before. "I would say good luck out there, but honestly?" His gaze was piercing, unyielding. "I hope you die." The words slithered out like a curse, each syllable dripping with a venom that chilled her to the bone.
Astarion narrowed his eyes, leaned towards her and whispered ominously, only to her. “Screaming.”

Geralt woke up to the ugliest mug he’d ever seen looking down upon him. Purple tentacles making up its lower face and raging dark orange eyes. Roiling pain as the tadpole worms through his eye socket into his brain where it settles with a shudder, becoming a part of him.(Alternatively: Geralt gets whisked away to Faerun on a nautoloid. He's in for an adventure of a lifetime.)

Some truths Anastasia believes to be unequivocally true:
She has never left the United States and is currently located in a suburb of Kansas City.

Magic doesn't exist.
Her beliefs are about to be challenged.
Anastasia comes from Earth in our modern time, but is mystically transported into the high fantasy universe of Baldur's Gate. Once she is deposited in Faerun her savior happens to be a tadpole parasite infected vampire and his ragtag bunch of traveling companions that take her in on their adventure to cure themselves of their strange magical affliction. In the meantime she must adapt to survive and happens to develop a surprisingly meaningful relationship with the groups PTSD inflicted Vampire Elf, Astarion.
