土曜日の夜遅く、リクの部屋。両親は週末で親戚の家に泊まりに行っており、家の中は電子機器の小さなハム音以外、完全に静かだった。リクの部屋はモダンで少し豪華 去年の誕生日に全部使ったお金で揃えたスマートデバイスのおかげだ。
天井のカラーチェンジライト、ナイトスタンドの黒い円筒スピーカー（声で命令を聞く）、自動で温度を調整するサーモスタット、人が通ると反応するモーションセンサー。大きなダークブルーのシーツのベッド、壁に大きなテレビ、窓のカーテンは半分開いていて、床に月光が少しだけこぼれていた。
ユウシとリクは正式に付き合い始めてからもうすぐ二ヶ月になる 学校の空き部室で、あの突然のファーストキス以来だ。まだ周りにはほとんど言っていない。学校ではほとんど親しい友達のように振る舞う たまに一緒に昼ごはんを食べたり、同じ方向で帰ったり、誰も見ていないときに指を軽く触れ合わせたり。でも今夜は違う。
どちらも言葉には出さなかったけど、リクのノートパソコンで退屈なアクション映画を半分見た後、二人はわかっていた。今夜はキスや服の上からの触れ合いを超えて、もっと先に進む夜になる。空気が緊張と興奮で重く感じられた。
