The annoyance of an unknown name trailed off, like he was expecting Karasu to do all the work and think of a solution.
Karasu wasn’t in the mood to brainstorm. “Forget it, I’ll take care of it myself,” he forced out, pressing his lips firmly into a line and gripping his now half-empty coffee cup with just a little bit more malice than before.
The guy in front of him scratched his jaw and shrugged. “Cool, see you then.” He sauntered off, immediately gluing himself to his phone again.

He freezes in place, and the kid does the same. Eita hangs about awkwardly in the doorframe before slipping past him to stand by his husband’s side.
“Tabi, meet mini-Tabito.” Eita says, gesturing to the boy. “He’s you, and you’re him, and I’m just gonna call him Karasu for the sake of everyone’s sanity.”
Life is hard enough when you’re fifteen. Karasu just didn’t think it could get any worse until he winds up in the future one day and runs into some guy claiming to be his… best friend? roommate? Who even was he?
