Summary
In an alternate universe, Task Force 141 are longtime close friends. They've known each other since forever, but Ghost--as John's best friend Simon Riley likes to be called--is acting increasingly strange with him.
It started with accidental touches, longer glances, and more frequent sleepovers. Now, it was escalating. Soap honestly couldn't tell if Price or Gaz even knew what was happening.
Now Soap wasn't open about his sexuality to anyone, not his family, not his friends... not even Ghost, the guy he's been in love with since Day 1. But he couldn't help the smile on his face as Ghost started a bar fight all because some drunk bastard tried to even look at him.

“Johnny,” he sighed, resigned. “What are you doing here?”
A crack formed in Soap’s mask of aloofness, his eyebrows twitched as if resisting the urge to furrow into a glare and his movements faltered.
“What are you doing here, Simon?” Soap returned calmly, a bitter tinge sharpening his words ever so slightly.
“I retired,” Ghost said shortly. When he said nothing else, another crack formed.
