Summary
‘This is the victim. Photo was taken from his social media, but we believe the name is fake. We have no records of a Chiba Hotaru until 15 years ago. We need his real name. Tsukishima, are you okay?’
The concern in Oikawa’s normally focused voice causes Kuroo to look at Tsukishima. He does not look okay. He’s paler than normal, frozen completely still. He looks sick to his stomach.
Kuroo has watched Tsukishima dismantle bodies without blinking, all collected movements as if he was simply folding laundry. He’s never seen this face before.
‘Tsukki?’ Kuroo asks, lightly touching his shoulder. Tsukishima blinks back to reality, taking in a deep, shuddering breath.
'Tsukishima Kenichi is his real name. He’s my father.’

Summary
It probably says something that the first mission they take after seventy years on ice turns into a mess of inexplicable scientific phenomena, but what that something is, Daichi really doesn't want to know.
He has enough on his plate: pop-culture references he doesn't understand; self-proclaimed 'genius, millionaire, athlete, philantropist' Kuroo Tetsurou; the king of a mysterious country who can deflect bullets without looking and punches gods in the face; gods, apparently, right out of Norse Mythology; and a scientist suffering from the kind of lab accident that means he turns into a giant grey stony rage monster whenever his serotonin levels drop.
But when the stakes get even higher and the fate of the world rests on their shoulders once more, there's no time for squabbling. Secrets come to light and relationships are tested, but they're the good guys. Aren't heroes supposed to get a happy ending?
