Summary
The deadlines are really taking a tole now; Clark’s rent has been due for so long his new worry is the next payment, the farm is under threat by the bank, he still doesn’t have the quotes he needs for an investigative article on high society—and their connection to organised crime—he was poking around for during a gala.
…Which he never got around to.
Instead, he got Bruce Wayne’s ‘personal’ number and stumbled his way into a very formal date—and a less than night. So now he’s laying in-between steam pressed sheets dreading when Brucie Wayne steps out of the hotel bathroom.
—
It’s time to lay Brucie Wayne to rest.
The Penguin, apparently, has had his claws curled around the upperclass of Gotham for a while longer than Batman had ever thought. His influence runs deep but the numbers—bank transfers, unexpected marriages, random disappearances—run deeper.
His own parents were apart of this, knowingly or not, and Batman needs the proof to cement Cobblepots’s arrest. He has, however, recently been confronted by a roadblock. A bank account, possessing a fortune of dirty money, not to be released to Mr. Wayne until he’s taken a Mrs.

Summary
The VIP box was silent. Beside Dick, Bruce was staring at the Jumbotron over the rink completely focused. Their whole family had been watching the Lookalike contest with interest but went quiet when Bruce got that look on his face. That Batman look. Like he was trying to solve a case. Or catch a ghost.
And Dick knew why.
Because there, on screen, was Jason Todd.

Summary
It wasn’t a good year for Clark. He broke up with his girlfriend and Lex Luthor bought the Daily Planet, so he chose to move back to his parent’s house. Not that he was complaining about that last one. It was complicated, okay?
He felt like he had nothing left in Metropolis, but he didn’t feel like he had a place in Smallville, Kansas either. As always, his existence was lonely, so when he heard about a fair in town, he went, hoping to be cheered up.
AKA
Bruce was investigating a smuggling ring. There had been museum thefts recently, but his investigations as Batman had shed no light to the matter, so he chose to infiltrate a small carnival, which was, most likely, a stop of stolen objects on their way to the Pacific, all along an overly excited Dick Grayson, who missed the circus life.
