Summary
Niki and Jack are the hosts of the acclaimed anthology podcast 'Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye', and the first season ended spectacularly, with the highest ratings for a new podcast in industry history. The time has come for them to begin production of the second season, and in order to ensure the continuation of the show, they find themselves taking on the biggest story they've ever come across.
But when they start following a trail left behind by a reclusive friend, the podcasting duo discover that this story is so much bigger than they anticipated, and the results of their discoveries might change not only their lives, but the entire world.

In Techno’s admittedly brief experience of death, he’d already decided that he hated it. But maybe not as much as he hated undying.
Techno spent an eternity dead, and as quickly as it came, he was resurrected.
And there was a part of him that wished to stay dead, because being resurrected fucking hurt.
The regeneration process had lasted about sixty ticks—the same amount of time between the flick of the lever and the landing of the anvil on his head.
Anticipating death was scary. The reversal of it was so, so much worse.
