Judy laughed, the sound rumbling through his own chest where her paw rested. “Oh shut up, you big oaf. I’ve already decided.” She tugged the collar of his shirt, pulling him down until their muzzles were an inch apart. “And I’m deciding this, too.”

Nick shrugged, leaning closer to Judy. "Look me in the eye and tell me you wouldn't sell me for one of his pies.”
“I'd sell you for a half-eaten Klondike bar," Judy shot back.

Nick hummed in agreement. “But you achieved that goal. So why not look for someone now?”“Look for what? I have you,” she replied simply.
