Slumped against the headboard, Reyna’s eyes were dazed and unfocused. Viper leaned in, their eyes level, and she tilted Reyna’s chin to the side, pressing a kiss against the hard metal muzzle that caged her dangerous canines, trying to calm the agitated alpha.
Reyna instinctively leaned up, trying to chase Viper’s lips, but the muzzle blocked her desperate attempt. Frustration made her eyes glisten, almost like a puppy abandoned in the rain.

As she got used to dealing with chemicals and was in the comfort in her lab, Viper stopped wearing safety equipment all together, deeming it a hassle and unnecessary as the scars on her hands had been accumulating anyways. But the chemicals did some irreparable damage on her nerves and Viper's hands twitch sometimes. She thought no one would notice if she hid them under gloves, but Reyna did.
When Reyna saw her scars she anticipated a mockery. Anticipated something that would emphasize her carelessness and piss her off. Something along the lines of “Wow I didn’t know Doctor Sabine makes mistakes too.”
But instead of all that, Viper heard, “Can I see them?” Thick, silky voice. Like there’s sweet honey down her throat.
