“Are you in love with Remus?” he asks a little frantically.
James, carefully watching Sirius, notices the quick changes of emotion that pass across his face.
Sirius’ hands stop moving, hovering over his book where they had been going to turn the page. James can just barely make out the light blush on his conflicted face.
“Yeah, I guess I am.”
And he turns the page and starts reading again.

The war is over. Voldemort was defeated on October 31, 1981. Regulus Black discovered Voldemort’s horcruxes and informed the Order of the Phoenix, which destroyed them. When Voldemort arrived on Halloween to kill baby Harry, the Order was standing by, ready to kill him first.
