Mycroft is reserved, Greg is uncertain, and their relationship builds in what is not said. It's a long struggle to get there, but there's something refreshing about seeing Mycroft as we thought he was then.

Although saying it's not canonical, so much about this makes sense for the characters. How Greg helped Sherlock get clean, and how that brings him and Mycroft closer. It's wonderful character work with some terrific lines and entertaining texting. I liked seeing Greg and Sally's friendship, and Greg and John's, and the flat, and the moment when Mycroft drops his briefcase.

Summary
Mycroft's beloved cat, Dandy, becomes fixated on a cat across the alley. Soon Mycroft's enraptured by their courtship. He's not the only one. Before long notes begin to appear in the window across the way. Mycroft finds himself drawn into a cautious courtship from the anonymity of his flat. When the other cat's owner makes a bold move it panics Mycroft, and he withdraws.
