“Just accept it, you grump,” Wild chuckled, helping pull their veteran back into the group hug.
Legend’s face grew redder, and then he was hiding his face in Warriors’s scarf.
And then, they had parted, eyes red and faces blotchy, and Four almost laughed at the sudden discovery that they were all ugly criers.
Four looked at the portal waiting for him, waiting to take him home. He cast one last look over his shoulder at his brothers, ingraining their faces into his memory, and then he stepped through.

Summary
The darkened woods around him suddenly burst open in dizzying white lights. Michelangelo is exposed to their glare, chasing away the shadows he has been taught to rely on so much.
“There! I see it!”
With a cry, Michelangelo tries to pull back into the safety of the night’s shadows. It proves to be an impossible task when humans are beginning to circle around him with their flashlights and guns all pointing towards him.
Get away. Hide.
Childishly, he wishes for his brothers. For Raph’s solid frame to hide behind. For Donnie’s reassuring voice of reason grounding him. For Leo’s confidence to lean on like a pillar in the sea, stopping him from getting pulled under by the waves that threaten to drown him.
Terror sweeps over him, because he is alone.~
What starts out as a late night adventure in the woods beside the farmhouse turns deadly when a group of hunters catch Mikey off guard. Alone and wounded, Mikey struggles to find his way to safety.
TLDR: Mikey is chased by a group of hunters with no way to contact his brothers.

“Huh?” Mikey turned to look at Leo, and nearly choked on the toothpaste foam that was in his mouth. He coughed, spitting out what he could, and hacking up the rest.
Leo shot him a flat look. “Come on. I don’t think choking on toothpaste is an excuse Splinter is going to accept again.”
Mikey blinked at his brother in the mirror. “I, uh… yeah. I’ll be there in just a minute, Leo.”
“Just be quick. I’m not making excuses for you again.”
With that comment, Leo was out of the doorway, Mikey hearing him leap over to the training area. Mikey blinked at his reflection in the mirror. What… had just happened? Yeah, Leo had come in and interrupted him brushing his teeth, but it felt like there was something more going on. Like he had just been--

Will include an unhealthy amount of found family bonding and Time being the Chain’s collective dad (or dog dad, in Twilight’s unfortunate case).

The first day Heatwave, Chase, Blades, and Boulder worked as a team wasn't exactly ideal.

Secondly, they'd never even spoken with Blades before.
And lastly, it involved falling into a sinkhole, meeting danger face to face, and having to do it all on their own.So yeah, not ideal.
