Summary
Stiles Stilinski was never supposed to be royalty. Hiding in a backwater village, he lived as a woodcutter, keeping secret the Gift that marked him as an Omega: the power to heal any wound or sickness. Yet, when a wolf attack nearly kills his father and almost wipes out his village, Stiles reveals himself to save them, and within days, knights drag him to the royal court.
King Peter Hale declares Stiles a Prince of the Kingdom, placing him under the watch of his brooding nephew, Derek, a Wolfknight bound by honor and silence. Stiles, sarcastic and stubborn, refuses to be a pampered saint. He heals commoners, soldiers, anyone in need, defying nobles who would turn his gift into gold. Slowly, Derek begins to see the man's compassion as braver than any knight’s sword.
