"Hey. Steve," Nancy said, eyes not leaving the woman at the bar. "How about you try... spreading the Gospel, I guess... to her?" She gestured at the woman. "She's one of Owens' people. Agent... Stinson I think. She's obviously off-duty, she might be open to it?"

Jackie’s eyes flick to them, drawn in like a crow spotting something shiny.

Jackie works a fast-food job her senior year of high school, both to make extra cash and to spite her parents. She regrets several things, cheers Nat up (and gets cheered up), gets flirted with, yelled at, makes eleven hours' worth of minimum wage, and dances in the rain. Not necessarily in that order.

Summary
As Jackie swings, it pulls on her wound in a way that sends white-hot lightning throughout her entire body. Her grip on her web slackens, and she falls. On one hand, she was thankfully swinging pretty close to the ground; on the other, she’s apparently God’s favourite little Barbie doll or something, because her trajectory sends her flying directly into a group of trashcans. She crashes, loud and hard, metal ringing and her body throbbing in time with each heartbeat. She groans, just for the dramatics of it. It’s her right. Kicks her feet angrily, feeling somewhat like a toddler, but again - it’s her right. She’s allowed to throw a tantrum after fighting - and winning - against her villain of the week and being stabbed in the stomach.
A gun is suddenly leveled at her face, and her breath catches in her throat. “Oh, shit,” a voice rasps, and her heart skips a beat. She looks past the trembling barrel of the gun to find Natalie Scatorccio staring back at her with wide eyes.
