“Marry me,” Christian blurted and that did it. He definitely had the other man’s attention now.
A look of surprise was frozen on Toto’s face as he blinked slowly down at Christian. “I’m afraid I forgot how to speak English there for a moment,” he began, accent thick. “What did you say?”
Smiling, Christian tried again. “Marry me Toto.”
“Liebling,” Toto breathed, frozen in place as people pushed and jostled past them.
“I’ll ask you in German if that will help,” Christian teased, pulling out his phone, fully intent on pulling up a translator. “Or would French be better? Italian maybe? I’ll ask in every bloody language you speak if I need to.”

Christian was responsible for over a thousand employees and seemingly every aspect of Red Bull Racing. The season was about to start and everything was falling apart and somehow it all came back to him in the end. No matter the department, it was Christian’s fault. Now he was home late, having stood his husband up for dinner by hours and he was pretty sure he was going to lose his bloody mind until Toto took charge. With Toto in charge, Christian knew it would be okay.

You’re a fucking dick and I don’t even recognize you anymore. The man I married would never betray me like this. I don’t even know who you are anymore.”
Christian felt the fight leave him as the words really sank in. “Well I never thought the man I married was such a piss poor loser.”
