    Instead of slaughtering House Davinos and their son, House Tachonis chooses a more peaceful method for dealing with the trouble Occtis has wrought.

    And somehow Occtis manages to convince them that maybe the rumors are false.

    Of course that means his father wants to present a united House Tachonis to stand against these "false rumors."

    And so Occtis is forced home to the house he escapes 5 years prior and it is decided he will take up the family duties. And what is the duty of the youngest child than to make an advantageous marriage?
