Summary
“What hitch, Henry?” she asked, trying to keep her voice calm. He hemmed and hawed, clearing his throat a few times and holding his glasses up to the light, apparently finding another speck of dust, and restarting his polishing task. “Henry,” Zora repeated, the flicker of hope extinguising and a heavy, cold feeling settling in the pit of her stomach, “what hitch?”

Summary
Robin leans back in the cracked vinyl chair and slides her headphones over her ears, sealing herself inside the booth. The station smells like warm dust and burnt coffee — almost like home, if home hadn’t been steeped in stale beer and sour wine. If home hadn’t hummed with television static and the low thud of bottles set down too hard.
“Good evening, Hawkins,” she says into the mic, voice smooth, practiced into something silkier than she feels. “You’re tuned to WSQK, and this is Rockin’ Robin keeping you company on this fine Monday.”
She smiles automatically. It doesn’t travel past her mouth.
The board in front of her glows a dependable green. Levels steady. No distortion. She still waits for it. For months after Starcourt, any electrical hum had meant something else — the grinding whine of that machine chewing at the fabric of reality beneath layers of concrete. Even now, the low buzz in the station walls makes her shoulders inch toward her ears before she forces them down. Her body has better memory than her mind. Her body still expects Russian voices bleeding through plaster.
She flips a switch. A soft click. Queues the next track.

Summary
Nancy realizes too late what the complicated things she had been feeling truly mean as she sits in the hospital room and suffers from strange and upsetting nightmares. Robin navigates a dark past, and the group tries to find where Vecna is hiding and stop him before one of their own is lost.

What if it wasn't Max who ended up in a coma following the battle with Vecna?
Slightly reworked Stranger Things 4 and continued into post-Vol 2
**
"Robin opened her eyes and was blinded by the overexposed look of the world around her. This wasn’t right. This wasn’t the dark world she was falling through moments ago. This was different, familiar yet strange, like trying to remember the details of a dream after waking. Robin tried hard not to remember her dreams, though. She felt something in her hand and looked down to see a folded piece of paper, a note. The scene filled in around her, walls with stripes of colour, tiled floor, her dented locker on the right, students and teachers making their way through the hallway. She squeezed the paper in her hand and tried to make it disappear. She knew this day well, knew where it led, and cursed herself for ever being so stupid."

Summary
“You gotta get out of here,” he repeats, his eyes alight with a strange sort of panic, even for a dead boy’s brother. This isn’t grief. This is fight or flight, and Robin’s pretty sure he’s leaning toward fight. “This isn’t a good time –”
And that’s when a hand bursts out of the tree next to them.
Robin screams, and Jonathan is screaming, and the hand, which Jonathan seems to think is Nancy Wheeler, is screaming from inside the tree, but it’s glowing with a weird red light in there, and there’s some sort of mucus membrane that Nancy’s hand is frantically pushing through.
Suddenly Robin is lying in an all too quiet wood across from a panting Jonathan Byers and a goop-covered Nancy Wheeler.
“What– the fuck.”
(OR, the canon rewrite where Robin was dragged into this mess in s1)

Summary
“What's wrong with Robin?”
The question, though Nancy had originally wanted to broach this topic much less aggressively, leaves her mouth sharper than she had anticipated.
Steve looks up, surprised, from where he's got one dirty shoe unlaced in their ramshackle armory. “What? Nothing's wrong.”
