    Spoilers for both the Once Upon a Broken Heart and Caraval series.

    Jacks finds Evangeline’s dying body at the Valory Arch and uses the stones to go back in time — only, to ensure she’ll always be safe from him, he travels to the night he met Donatella. But time, with its vindictive nature, likes to repeat whatever it can manage to, feeling a lot like fate. The challenge between the stubborness of time and the Magnificent North’s most infamous Archer is such a rare event, the story curse must watch it close and eager, willing its characters to return from the south.

    Although no one likes the idea of Jacks coming back for Tella I thought it made sense for him and would provide for so much YEARNING, so this is my attempt at imagining what it could’ve been like.

    Characters are all aged up to at least 21 so that explicit scenes might be a possibility in the long run.

    Written before ACFTL -- not canon compliant!!!

    My take on a post Ballad fix it fic because Stephanie hurt my heart

    Evangeline is lost after she woke up several weeks ago with no recollection of the most recent years of her life. All she knows is her childhood fairytale dream came true, and she has a dashing prince for a husband who seems to worship at her feet. Despite her seemingly fantastical reality, she can't stop trying to regain her memories, and can't figure out why Apollo doesn't seem to be helping her (spoiler it's because he sucks and he's a dumb stupid man who doesn't respect women's autonomy).

    Meanwhile people from Evangeline's missing past keep showing up and she's beginning to suspect no one is being fully truthful with her, and no one seems to want to answer her questions about a certain enchanting, blonde haired, apple eating figure who keeps showing up in both her dreams and reality.
