Sigma is a weapon. He's known this all his life. So when a man named Dazai Osamu offers him an opportunity to be in a place that he can perhaps finally call home, he takes it without a second thought. He wants to be something more.But Sigma hadn't realized how difficult changing the mindset they'd been in all their life would be. Now, they're struggling just to stay afloat. It's a task that they don't know they can take on, and they're sinking fast, with no one who they believe can understand the turmoil of being born for the darkness.

Summary
“Is there something I can do to help?” Sigma asked, feeling uncomfortably useless when Dazai started washing the vegetables.
“Nope,” Dazai replied almost immediately, popping the p. He kept his eyes closed, an easy smile on his lips. “You can busy your pretty face by setting the table.”
Sigma blinked in surprise, pulling his shoulders back. “...Pretty face?” he repeated to himself quietly.
Dazai looked back at him, water running in the background. “Your face is very pleasant to look at,” he said, “Didn’t you know?”

Zanka can't remember the last time they've been together without the need of their weapons, but he can't really complain when the promise of cocktails and a relaxing time are served on a silver plate.
The surfacing feelings for Enjin that comes in hand with the liquor and a smoke break wasn't part of the plan, though.

Summary
Dazai finds an angel dressed in a Sailor Venus outfit on a high-rise rooftop in Yokohama.
“You’re beautiful,” he says to the boy lying face-up in a thick bed of snow. The freezing night air has leeched color from his skin except for the strawberry-red splotching the underside of his exposed limbs and the purple-blue staining his fingertips.
“Would you do me the honor of committing suicide with me?”
Spectacular heterochromia saturates Dazai’s world, and all he can think is, burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow Roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.
His angel with firework eyes shrugs thin shoulders, all bone white and blue like a bruised moon, and wearily sighs,
“Yeah, sure. Why not?”
OR
Dazai and Atsushi meet, dance, rob a department store, and jump off the bridge together. Not necessarily in that order.

Summary
The tiger makes her athletic, a good dancer, able to spend hours on her feet in PVC heels. She’s young and thin. Her wide-eyed looks sell. When she looks up from underneath her eyelashes and tells her clients she’s a virgin, they believe her. Her earnings climb quickly, a pink plastic ladder to nowhere.
Her personality isn’t well-suited to this line of work, sure—but fast money suits Atsushi just fine.
Months after being kicked out of the orphanage, as she’s walking home from work at 2:00 AM, Atsushi happens upon a stranger floating down the river.
(Yet another Dazatsu stripper AU, but they’re lesbians this time. Sadly, neither of these things stop canon from happening.)

Summary
Atsushi says, apropos of nothing, "I don't need a babysitter."
Dazai considers this and decides to respond with all the dignity such an accusation deserves. He slumps forward, half over the steering wheel, and nearly sends them into on-coming traffic. "Wow!" he moans, "Break my heart, why don't you, Atsushi-kun! A babysitter," he repeats, mournfully. "Is that what you think I am?"
Atsushi braces himself with both hands against the dashboard, but otherwise ignores him. He continues, "I made a mistake."
All things considered, this is a bit of an understatement.
In which, Dazai misses the point, Atsushi is put on medical leave, and there's only one bed.

Dazai leans down to level their gazes and moves closer to whisper into his ear, like he is telling a secret and trusting Atsushi to keep it safe, “If you are not alone. If you find someone to stick with you even at your worst, it gets a lot easier.”
“Have you found that person?” He can’t help asking, his curiosity reigning higher than the embarrassment colouring his cheeks pink due to their current proximity.
Dazai remains wordless as he shifts back a little and stares at Atsushi for a bit too long than should be normal.

Dazai paused and tilted his head to the side. “Why do you want to go to the ball, then?” He asked.
“For the food, of course,” Atsushi replied as a matter-of-factly. “There’s going to be a banquet, right? Because if there’s no food, I’m not sure what the point of going is.” Atsushi paused, bringing a finger to his chin and tapping it thoughtfully. “Although, if they allow access to the royal library, I’ll still go. They probably won’t, though. Ah, well, the experience… that will be worth it.”

Summary
Dazai ends up in a coma after his most serious suicide attempt yet. He has left three letters, one of them being for Chuuya.
Sitting at the bedside of his comatose body, Chuuya tries to understand.

Dazai is falling. In the orange glow of sunrise, the waves of his hair are fanning around him, and his dark eyes are wide with fear and shock, his hand outstretched towards Chuuya. His bandages are unravelling all around him in the wind.
Chuuya is not even thinking anymore. All he can see is that hand reaching for him as he launches off against the balustrade and falls after him.
He uses his ability to make himself heavier, his own drop faster, his hand reaching for Dazai right back.
It's only when he catches Dazai in his arms, holding his head tight against his own shoulder and trying to fly back up that he remembers; this won't work.
He must have been really out of his mind to have forgotten it at all.
