A few minutes later, a woman appears. That in itself would be no matter, but she seems very apart from the neighbourhood that surrounds her, as if trying to operate on a different wavelength than this rundown city and it’s lazed pulse. She elicits curiosity because of the way she’s dressed, all fancy and expensive, and she looks high class. Aristocratic is a word that springs to mind.
