Summary
“The Father just gave me—I don’t even remember now. A few Hail Marys, or something. As if sitting around with a rosary in my hands fixes…” he trailed off, gesturing to vaguely indicate the last few months.
“Confession isn’t meant to ‘fix,’ anything,” Bobby pointed out. “It’s about forgiveness.”
Eddie scoffed. “And how, exactly, do I earn forgiveness if I haven’t atoned for the thing I’m asking for forgiveness for?”
“That’s the thing, Eddie—you don’t really have to earn forgiveness. God gives that to us freely. We just have to be brave enough to ask for it.”

Summary
“I’ve been patient, man, but—“
“Man?” Buck frowns, making an affronted sound at the back of his throat. “Did you just call me man in bed? You’re kidding me right now.”
“What would you rather I say, Buck?” Eddie quizzes, shoving at Buck’s arm to dislodge him. He hooks an ankle around Buck’s calf and all of a sudden he’s on top.
Settling onto Buck’s thighs for a moment, he leans forward to drag Buck into a kiss, licking messily into his mouth. When Eddie pulls away, he continues. “Schnookems?” He bites at the juncture of Buck’s neck and shoulder, kissing the sting away. “Honey bear?” He mouths up Buck’s neck, pinching a nipple. Buck tries to thrust up against Eddie but has nowhere to go with Eddie’s bulk pressing him down. “Sugar plum?” He glides his hands up, sliding both into Buck’s hair, leaning in for another wet kiss.
“Baby?” he says, sitting up and scooting forward to situate himself over Buck’s dick. Buck whimpers.

“I didn’t want you to find out on Instagram or the news or something.”
“Find out what?” Buck’s heart wasn’t quite as nearly beating out of his chest anymore, but he could still feel it thumping against his breastbone.
Silence on the other end. “Maddie?” he prompted.
Maddie sighed heavily. “I’m so sorry,” she said gently. “I should’ve been more careful, I should’ve had Howie check outside first, I—” She swallowed, heavily enough it was audible over the phone. “When you and Eddie left yesterday, there were paparazzi.”

Summary
“I’m not usually this insane,” Eddie claimed, which was not Evan’s impression in this exact moment. “I’m usually—” he laughed, incredulous at himself, “I’m usually so fucking uptight. I eat and sleep and go to three god-awful jobs across town from each other and take care of my kid and argue with my parents and I never fucking do anything. Evan,” Eddie paused, cupping his face in his hands delicately, “I like you. This was fun, sure, but I…”
Eddie kissed him again, softer and wetter, running his tongue over the seam of Evan’s lips. Evan melted. When Eddie spoke again, he melted even further, practically a puddle at his feet. “I like you. And maybe this is just all in my head and you’re thinking I’m an absolute freak and can’t wait to get out of here but—”
“But maybe I like you, too,” Evan interjected.
Eddie smiled. Radiant. “Yeah?”

Summary
Eddie dropped down into the seat next to Buck with a sigh. “That pigeon is back and I swear to god it’s bigger than it was yesterday.”
“Oh my god,” Buck groaned, rolling his eyes. “Not this again.” As disinterested as he was pretending to be, though, he still kept his eyes on Eddie long enough for his phone screen to go dark.
“Yes, this again,” Eddie insisted. “Whatever the hell you put in that feeder, it’s created a monster. I bet it can’t even sit on a tree branch without the entire thing collapsing.”
“Big Stu isn’t that big.”
Eddie stared incredulously. “Big Stu?”
