Summary
"What can I get you?" Parker looked at the waitress with an unreadable expression. "Where's Cora?" she turned to Nate. "Ah yes, folks, this is June. She's running the bar now." "What do you mean, running?" Hardison eyed the new girl: "Where's Cora?" "Well, Cora's gone back to her old home and I've been looking for a replacement..." "Without asking us?" Sophie blurted out. "Hey, it's my bar. I don't see why I need to ask you..."
June was still standing in the same position, wondering whether to watch the banter with amusement or irritation. So this was the team Nate had talked about at their first meeting. She was about to leave when Parker said, "I'm hungry!" and looked at her as if that settled everything. Hardison looked from Parker to June with a smile: "Me too!" After a glance around, she realized that this was going to be some kind of test to see if she was worthy of taking over Cora's legacy. An almost imperceptible wink from Nate was probably meant to be encouraging, but she only asked: "Drink?" "Oh yes, ma'am, we're thirsty," Hardison replied, and with a quiet grin, she set off to bring that particular order. It all begins with a typical evening in Boston and ends years later in Portland.

Summary
It’s something that begins small and not all that much different than what was there before and then blooms and grows until it ends up becoming something incredibly great and powerful.
(Of course, it’s also the first shot of heroin that starts an addiction. The first accepted bribe. The first shot in a war. The first punch in a fight or the first car in a massive pileup. The first time someone thinks “I deserve this more than them”.
It’s volatile and dangerous and can hurt a lot of people if handled incorrectly.)Series

Summary
In honour of Mother's Day, this is the story of how Eliot's Cherokee blanket made its way to Wapanjara.
Warning: There is the death of a minor animal character, and this is, at times, Eliot at his darkest.
My deepest thanks to Whimseyrhodes for the prompt.

Summary
Eliot's "knives are like people, it's all about the context" motto doesn't come from Toby. It comes from the home ec teacher he had a crush on in HS.
Which is a weird perspective for a home ec teacher...
What else was she doing with knives?
