“My Eleventh. Why haven’t you told me?” The Tsaritsa scolds him, her ethereal voice resonating on the icy walls of her palace.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Childe blurts out, utterly sincere. “I have never hidden a single thing from you, I promise!”
“And yet, you never mentioned that you were with child.”
“With… child?” He repeats, struggling to grasp the reality behind her words. “But that’s… That’s impossible! My body… It can’t get pregnant! And I… I’ve never even slept with anyone…”
Someone lesser would brand him as a liar, but the Tsaritsa recognizes the truth behind his plea. Her anger is quick to dissipate, once she is convinced of his honesty.
“You didn’t know.” She states in a murmur.
Or Years after escaping the Abyss, Childe comes to the painful realization that it has left his body even more messed up than he expected. It turns his life into an endless circle of suffering, one he fears he will never be able to escape from.
Until he meets a kind man going by the name of Zhongli, that is.
