Robin Buckley had been dead for a long time.
Physically, yes, she was okay. She had a beating heart, a working brain, and blood flowing through each and every vein in her body. She was fine in that sense.
But mentally, no, She wasn't okay. That was the problem-- she didn't feel much of anything.
The one thing she did feel was all of her organs wilting and her awareness fading rapidly, slipping through her fingers.
She wanted to scream, to cry, to grasp at straws, but all she could do was sit back and watch as her world crumbled around her.
