  Summary

  With the Japanese Derby around the corner, Symboli Kris S sets off to learn about who's participating in her next race, the Japanese Derby. Not much stood out about most of her opponents, but things drastically change at the last name on her list.

  Ramble:
  When deciding on making this Ao3 account, I wanted to stick to more well-known characters, so it'd be easier for me to research and depict them, but a lot of the characters I like aren't on global. While the former option feels safer, therein lies the problem of not being able to use the other ones. The purpose of this was to test how far I could go with limited information on the main characters. In this case, I tried using Umayuru and whatever I could sift out of Twitter to base Gimlet and Kris S around. Umareader came into play a few times (character stories and some career events), but translating the pages always gave out something weird. I was hoping I could get this out on Christmas, but I'm honestly more glad I got this out at all, as I was working on something else before this, but I got bogged down midway.

  Summary

  I'm a worried about the tags, but I tried to get as many as this could fit into, just in case.

  A considerably larger step forward from the last one I made. I was expecting this to be done last week, but exams and a lack of motivation afterward pushed things back.

  I read a few translations from Tsuyoshi's story on Twitter and thought her dynamic with Special Week was interesting. The actual horse was something of a sore loser from what I've scavenged, so I wanted to combine both of these findings into my next work.

  I'm new to writing and haven't written anything in months, so this is more a way to assess the state of my writing. I've been into Uma Musume since early September (got into it from Horse Race Tests) and I think I have a fair understanding of some characters, in that I've seen the movies and read a good chunk of the stories. I have a lot of big ideas, but I'm not sure if I can keep up with them in ability, lol.

  Expect mainly short stories and more or less simple plot, until I can figure out how to write more than 5k words per chapter.
