The one in which shane, david, yuna, and eventually sveta, marlow, and even sasha, all systematically and intentionally love and support ilya rozanov through the tribulations of existing with trauma and depression. So good. Will fuck you up bc it is very good at depicting depression and depressive states and their impact on the surrounding loved ones. Also, shane has a spreadsheet about ilya's mental health support. Also marlow and sveta are dating which is gold. -

It’s a dumb series of thoughts. He sees Shane bend over, neatly folding himself into a hunchback as his hands flatten by his feet, and Ilya thinks, I bet he’s going to love it when we’re old and grey and he can outrace me with my stupid hip replacement. And then he realizes that not only does he anticipate being old and grey enough to need a hip replacement, but that he actually wants to get there.

The one where there's an asian rookie on the centaurs and ilya gets accused of grooming, and comeau or the other one is caught saying a slur on film, and then during the playoffs the rookie's neck gets sliced by a skate. I think about many of these scenes frequently and holy shit they are all in this one powerhouse fic.
All told, i think it's 3-5 graves and boy are they dug.
