Summary
Of all the things Wednesday Addams might have done after she left, holing herself up in an abandoned lighthouse somewhere on the east coast was very much in character for her.
Enid was cold and tired, and if this didn't work, she didn't know what she was going to do. But she wasn't going to give up easily.
She knocked even louder the second time.
“Uhm, hi Wednesday!”, Enid waved awkwardly, hoping to be heard over the drizzle and the roar of the ocean waves. “I don't know if you remember me, I'm-”
“Enid Sinclair”, said the monotonous voice she hadn't heard in a long time. “Of course I remember. What on earth are you doing here?”or
Wednesday is on a creative retreat to write her novel in an abandoned lighthouse, and Enid shows up there unannounced one summer night.
They haven't seen each other in over two years, and everything would be easier if Enid didn't lie about her reason for being there and if they didn't have so many things left to say to each other from when they were in Nevermore.
A lot has happened and they have changed, and they will have to get to know each other again and reconnect under these strange circumstances.Series

“Do you want me to tell you about the crash?” You nod. “It was a black sedan that crashed into you. I thought it was such a shame that your beautiful, sleek old car was ruined like that. But perhaps it’s even more beautiful now.” You wonder how she knows this. As if reading your mind, she says, “I drove past the wreck last night, when I got off work. You came in just a bit before my shift ended, so the police hadn’t cleared the scene by then.” You shudder a little and rasp, “Did you go out of your way to see it?” McKay smiles. “Yes. It was worth the detour and the traffic. There was debris all over, pieces of your car and hers. The other driver. I thought I could even see your blood on the asphalt, despite the darkness.”
She presses her thumb around the edges of the bruise on your thigh, and says, “Do you want to know how I think you got this one?” You nod, a bit desperate at this point and unable to form words, focused on nothing but her touch and her voice.

You end up at PTMC after a car crash. Against your better judgment, you find it hot. Against her better judgment, Dr. McKay does too.

Of all the ways she thought her day might go this never made the list. Sitting in an emergency room getting stitches in her finger instead of being at work. To be fair, she also hadn't anticipated Lottie showing up to ask if she wanted to get married while Nat had a knife in her hand. Sue her for not thinking outside her expectations enough to see it all coming.
