Her father realised that Yue wasn’t as safe as he’d hoped here, that if a single teenage boy could swim into their ranks without conflict, then what was stopping Yue from being hurt again?
Changes were made, the Kyoshi Warriors were moved to the Northern Water Tribe, and she lost the last bit of freedom she had left.

Summary
Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.

Basically a rewritten season 2, keeping all the crucial plot details -- but with the small alteration of one Ben Hargreeves having been resurrected during the flee from 2019.
Expect all the usual Umbrella Academy gloriousness; namely sibling bonding, Ben and Diego being mother hens, my darling emotionally repressed murder child having a hard time showing feelings, all the found family, lots of hugging and crying (and being repressed about crying) and general wonderfulness that this glorious show does such a good job with.
I've got a whole lot to live up to with this!

Following an abrupt flash of blue light, Five’s voice rings out threateningly in the kitchen, and the Hargreeves siblings all try not to act guilty. Vanya covers her face with her hand, cradling her terrible coffee in the other.
“Um, what are you talking about?” Luther is such a terrible liar. He sounds like he’s trying to remember lines.
“Don’t play dumb with me, moron,” Five hisses, blinking up to jab a finger in Luther’s chest. He’s been having a growth spurt recently, but the height different is still laughable, until Vanya catches a glimpse of the murderous rage on Five’s face, and shakes her head fondly. Even at half Luther’s height and in pyjamas, the old man manages to be twice as menacing.
...
Due to some circumstances that were definitely accidental and not pre-meditated at all, Five is in need of some new clothes. So of course, the Hargreeves family decide that they just HAVE to take him shopping for some new ones.

When he turns his head, struggling to breathe, feeling like the car is crushing him, he sees Klaus’ upside-down face, unconscious – dead? – and peaceful, a trickle of red trailing from his eyebrow into his hairline.
“Klaus!” Five shouts, his voice cracking. “Vanya! Anyone?”
No response.
Déjà vu.

Set vaguely after season two, in an AU without the sparrows. Five, Vanya, and Klaus get into a car crash.

For a moment, they just watch each other, gaping.
The woman is dressed extremely strangely, in a completely white suit that somehow remains untouched by the ash and dirt, pristine and almost blinding against the backdrop of rubble and flames. “Who are you?” she says, and then cringes, puts a hand to her head. “And what happened?”
...
On his first day in the apocalyptic wasteland, Five is already beginning to lose hope, and thinks he might be the only person in the whole world left alive.
But he soon finds out that he's not.

Seven gasps awake. She finds Five straight away, their eyes locking.
Then the Professor snatches her by the hair.
“Now, as I said, I don’t plan on damaging any of you,” he says, unaware that his days are numbered. “But this one’s not exactly one of you, is she? And, well, we have to find something to pass the time with while we wait for your generous father to pay the ransom. I wouldn’t want any of you doing something rash, like trying to escape.”
He looks directly at Five when he says this, and Five bares his teeth.
“Oh, you’re a little feral one,” the Professor says cheerfully. “Scary."
OR: The Umbrella Academy (plus Number Seven), at just eleven years old, have been kidnapped for a ransom by some guy who's really not messing around. At least they're all together? Five's having a very bad day, One's having an even worse time and Seven's kinda just happy to be included.

He dreams of the deep blue sky above the city on a cloudless, dry day, and the dark brown colour of the wooden walls and floors of the mansion. The rich red carpets in the guest rooms that the children had always been forbidden from entering, and the crisp white of a new model airplane just out of the box, ready to be constructed and painted. The soft pink of Mom’s skirts, the warm yellow lights strung up around Allison’s bed, the calming teal of the walls in Five and Ben’s bedrooms, the indigo of the night sky.
He thinks that he should have appreciated them more when he had them. Now all he sees is black.
...
A story about Luther and Vanya, set in an alternate universe where the chemical burns that Luther suffers on his last mission don't kill him, and Reginald doesn't have to use the serum. Instead, Luther is blinded.
