  2. Summary

Ninox Ryrrl awakens amid burning guts of an Illithid Nautiloid with nothing more than the memory of his name, his magic, the scars on his back, and a mind-blanking blood-lust.

This is a retelling of my Dark Urge play-through of BG3, combined with my own head-cannon and the options I wish I'd had to offer these characters along the way.

Content Warning: This strays VERY heavily into Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, please mind the tags on each section and chapter.

    Summary

OC set just before and just after the Enterprise B disaster in Generations. Exploring that ship's crew, their motivations, and the political fallout from Kirk's death.

"She stepped forward again, surprising herself with the conviction in her voice. 'I followed the enquiry, you were cleared of all negligence. The panel unanimously concluded the fault was with the Admiralty for rushing preparations. The Enterprise cast off half finished and half crewed. From what I read, you logged protests at being ordered to cast off early ahead of time. You did nothing wrong. The enquiry was a clear stitch-up.'
The advantages that seemed to be afforded to Harriman still irritated her. But on knowing him well from the Academy, Commander Finn couldn’t help but believe his idealism and commitment to the service were genuine. Not just a vehicle to launch a later political career, as so many she knew, who hadn’t met him, had decided. It bothered her more than she expected to see him wounded this way."

I'm not a writer and this was written as a pet project purely for my own amusement. Nonetheless - I thought I'd share with this community. Feedback always welcome!

    Summary

ISO: Carer to look after my father for 8 weeks this summer.
Dad is 71, early stage Parkinson’s disease, broke his hip 6 weeks ago. No signs of cognitive decline; mostly needs help with household tasks (cooking, light cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping), getting dressed, showering, changing cat litter/general cat care, getting to and from appointments.
Please know what you are getting into; Dad is physically more or less in good health but awful at accepting his limitations, unnecessarily mean, generally uncooperative, and largely nocturnal. Imagine yourself caring for a feral raccoon that is convinced it’s going to write another book, then subtract everything that is cute about raccoons.
$20/hour, roughly 4 hours a day. Must be able to pass a background check and lift 50 lbs. Patience of a saint not required but preferred.

    Summary

Holmes took a few more puffs of his cigarette in contemplative silence, before, in one fluid motion, abruptly stubbing it out and coming to kneel in front of me. He took my hands in his, clasped them gently, but kept his head bowed and refused to meet my eye.

“What I am to tell you next, Watson- what happened- I can barely believe it myself. And indeed, I would quite happily dismiss it as the ravings of a madman, the last hallucinations of the almost-dead, were it not for the nightly evidence of that little scene you just witnessed. But I beg you- doubt me if you will, but hear me first, please.”

The Falls of the Reichenbach are unsurvivable. Sherlock Holmes survives them- at a cost.
