Being parents meant compromising, either for your significant other, or for the happiness and healthiness for your child. However, Kazuki found a major fatal flaw…Rei was not his domestic partner, but his partner in criminal activity. It was difficult to get Rei to do things just to contribute around their flat, he couldn’t imagine Rei changing his mannerisms to accommodate to Miri’s growth.
Perhaps he should have thought to give his partner the benefit of the doubt; after all, Rei was his partner in life.

“Can’t we talk about this later?” Rei urges, and if he didn’t know any better, Kazuki would say that Rei sounded desperate.
Smirking, Kazuki wiggles his brows at Rei wildly, “aw, you wanna kiss me so bad.”Nine times out of ten, Rei is predictably closed off and cold. But that ten percent was beginning to grow faster than Kazuki was ready for.

“Three years,” Rei says immediately. Kazuki just looks at him. “We were coworkers.”
