Summary
A wolf should not die alone in sunlight. It’s an unfair end, blood seeping slowly into dry, cracked earth, poison sluggish in his veins. Bones left to bleach in the summer heat, picked clean by carrion birds, forgotten and unmourned. This would not be the way Geralt of Rivia dies, Jaskier decided. Not when there was still a big fucking sword at hand.
Or, the one where Jaskier slays the monster.

Summary
A Geraskier Holiday Exchange for @StonedGeralt. Sorry this is late, and I hope it was worth the wait!
_
Humans believe Witchers don't need sleep to survive. Geralt was taught he should keep them thinking that way.
He wasn't taught what to do about someone like Jaskier.

Summary
“You’re tall,” Geralt said slowly, brain struggling to catch up with this particular turn of events.
“Always have been, dear Witcher, but thank you for finally noticing.”
“You’re taller than me.” Geralt found himself rather unhappy about this fact. Granted, Jaskier only had an inch or two on him, but it was the principle of the thing.
“I’m taller than most folk,” Jaskier admitted with a small shrug, grinning at Geralt’s raised eyebrow in response. “Very few people realise because everyone looks small standing next to a Witcher now don’t they?"
After an unfortunate run in with a sorcerer, Geralt finds himself de-witchered.

Summary
“It does you well, I think, to be reminded that you are loved unconditionally and forever, just as you are.” Jaskier’s hands find Geralt’s where they’re at, folded together in his lap. His fingers are not much softer than Geralt’s, but they feel like the softest down pillow. “I wish we could stay like this forever.”
Geralt nuzzles the junction of Jaskier’s shoulder and neck, scenting the warmth. It’s apples and cider and honeysuckle and sea salt; it’s home, the one Geralt chose for himself when he understood that he could have anything and everything he ever wished for. “I’ll take an early winter. We’ll journey to Kaer Morhen before the others, have a bit of time for ourselves before the keep gets packed.”
“That isn’t what I mean.”
-
Jaskier asks Geralt to retire from the path. Geralt thinks that's a wonderful idea.
