“Sorry,” Nick said, using the hand Charlie wasn’t holding to take a sip of his soda. “So um, not only did he invite me but he invited you.”
“Me?” Charlie quested, his eyebrows rising high. “Why?”
“I sort of never told him we broke up.”
(or Nick and Charlie date in uni and break up. Except Nick doesn't tell anyone they break up and opps, now Charlie's invited to a family thing, the only solution? Fake date.)
