"Jay took in his surroundings. Two men stood near the thrones at the back of the room, who he assumed were King Heeseung and Prince Sunghoon.
As they approached, he found himself unable to look the prince in the eye.
His Highness was tall - a few inches taller than himself. He looked composed and dignified, as if he owned the place and wanted people to be aware of it. But despite the prince's dark robes and even darker hair, just standing in his presence was illuminating - as if he and he alone could bring light into this sunless country. What a grossly optimistic, almost romantic notion, Jay thought to himself.

It was sweet, and wholesome, everyone said—childhood friends to lovers, something so special and precious, something so many wished for, and that few actually managed to experience. It was warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream; it was blueberry muffins and stolen kisses before morning classes. It was sharing old high school hoodies and scrapbooks full of childhood memories. It was Christmas lights reflecting on pristine white glittering snow, and it was slow dancing in the kitchen at two in the morning, shaking fingers teasing at loose t-shirt collars and lips on warm skin.
It was everything Sunoo deserved, everything Jongseong had to give—and it was everything Heeseung couldn't have.
And Heeseung hated himself for it.

His ex-boyfriend is a hunky lawyer who represents clients while dressed in luxury brands on a daily basis. Meanwhile, Jungwon has worn the same, raggedy scrubs for a week now, hasn’t washed his hair in days, and is sneaking into said ex’s high-rise apartment building to steal back his delivery of three packets of sour cream and onion chips. He knows how this looks on paper.
(or: the five times jungwon “accidentally” ships his package to his ex-boyfriend’s address and the one time the ex-boyfriend—jay—does instead)

Summary
There are several things that Sunoo has always wanted to accomplish before he dies. Making out with his best friend’s boyfriend of four months is not at the top of that list— in fact, it’s nowhere on it at all.
He’s discovered the moral of the story: that being in love can play cruel tricks on your eyes. Because in that moment, for the briefest of seconds, Sunoo could have sworn that Jay had wanted him. They had kissed, so that must have been at least partially true.
There’s just one caveat: Park Jongseong is not the person Sunoo is in love with.
