Summary
The light that engulfed the room made her squint as Feo Ul took on the power of the relics, but Gwen held her breath as she waited. They both knew there was a chance even this wouldn't have Feo Ul recognize her or Farim, that even pixie magicks couldn't cross time rifts like the one they found themselves in, but she could hope. For all the awful things that happened to them so far, she could hope for one boon.
As the light faded, Gwen couldn't help the small sigh of relief as she saw Feo Ul properly – in the form she knew them from her childhood. This was the king she knew, this was Titania.
Without even thinking, she got down on one knee and bowed her head before the king and heard more than saw Farim beside her do the same – a lesson learned long ago, taught by her papa when they had just begun introducing her to the people of the First. Farim had always been the more polite one of the two of them, always remembering to bow and thank the king, but that didn't mean she didn't remember her manners when it mattered most.

Summary
Gwen took another long drag off her cigarette and looked out at the barn in the back, trying to ignore the chatter coming from inside the house. Drawing straws to decide who would come out and talk to her, no doubt.
It wasn't even that she didn't want to talk to them, but more that she didn't know what she would say. An apology didn't feel right, not when she meant everything she said. And having any of them try to awkwardly apologize felt worse. Apologize for what? Them trying their best to not upset her but managing to only upset her more in the process – not that they knew that because she didn't know how to just open her damn mouth and say as much?

Summary
Gwen's felt a weight she'd been carrying since Farim first disappeared lift as she saw him, a true smile – one that'd been missing from her face for far too long – finally returning as he descended the stairs. He was safe. Of course the Exarch had reassured her as much, but seeing him be truly whole and completely physically fine was different. Her best friend was alive, the one person who understood her was alive.
That relief was enough for her to completely ignore the stone faced expression he had, the way he refused to meet her eyes as he took in the greatsword on her back.

Summary
Despite the Exarch's best efforts to hide his identity, Gwen could see no other than G'raha Tia kneeling before her. The reverence he looked up at her with made her throat nearly close up as all she could think about was her papa – all she could see was years of memories of her papa kneeling in front of her for entirely different reasons.
Growing up helping her tie her shoes, kneeling down to heal her scraped knees after she ran too quickly through the streets of Sharlayan, kneeling down to brush her tears away when she fell out of the treehouse in their yard… And the last time, just weeks before she left, now years in the past, her papa kneeling down to help buckle her armor on her shins before she went off to the training fields with her aunts. The comment he'd made still rang through her mind.
"You know, I don't get many opportunities anymore to kneel down to help you with things," her papa had laughed, smiling up at her.

Summary
"You're not coming."
It wasn't a question, they both knew it, just a statement of fact with a bite in his tone that he didn't regret in the slightest.
Foulques stood in the doorway to G'raha's room in the Baldesion Annex – one that he barely used anymore, more often than not joining them in Cel's room when he wasn't up researching into the night. But now he sat at his desk, still staring down at the book in his hand.
And Foulques could see the regret immediately flit across his face.
Good.

I can assure you that my transfer has nothing to do with your club's relegation, nor is there anything that Richmond has done in error. Rather, I have spoken with my editors and we’ve agreed that this is the most appropriate course of action.
I wish you all the best in the season.

Summary
James Bond was a code name. He'd been using it long enough that he'd begun to think of himself by the name. But he wasn't particularly attached to it. So when Q demanded to not use the name outside of work, as a condition of them dating, he agreed easily.
Just why Q had issued that requirement sparked his curiosity. But it would take time, and plenty of stubbornness, to find the answer. It would also reveal other surprising revelations regarding the Quartermaster's history.

Summary
It was Mrs. Figg who suspected first.
She noticed many things, sitting on her side of her fence with her cats chasing butterflies and nuzzling her ankles, Mundungus and the other watchers dropping by for tea now and then.
Mrs. Figg noticed that Petunia was a nosy bit of work with insecurities hanging from her every harsh angle. She noticed when Dudley learned the word MINE-- the whole neighborhood noticed that one. She noticed that Vernon glared at owls.
She noticed that when Petunia gave Harry a truly horrendous haircut one year, it grew back in at a normal rate. Harry was uneven and weird-looking for ages, hiding under beanies when he could.
When Mrs. Figg had Harry over for carefully miserable afternoons of babysitting, she noticed nothing moved that shouldn't. He didn't accidentally make flowers out of fallen leaves, or levitate anything during tantrums, or turn toys funny colors.
Mrs. Figg called up her mother, interrupting the wizarding bridge game she was winning against the nursing home staff, and asked her how she had known, decades back, that her youngest daughter was a squib.

Summary
Remus works for the Gryffindor Lions as a physical trainer, and has been half in love with Sirius Black, the Lions' heartthrob captain, for a while now, but he never expected Sirius to return the feelings. Read if you like cute nicknames, slow burn, and pining. Yep. That's it.
There's some nice OC's of mine in here, too, please don't take them, thanks!
(If you want to see more of this universe, check out 12 Days of Ficmas 2020 in my listed works. These characters also appear (in a very situations) in my work Relic Keel, along with some new OCs)
