“I guess I underestimated the power of graduation,” Kise says, tugging at one of the loose threads of his ruined shirt as he examines the damage more closely. He gives Kasamatsu a once-over. “Senpai’s not missing any buttons?”
Kasamatsu snorts. “Unlike you, I don’t have a mob after me.”
Kise doesn’t miss a beat. “Too bad,” he says cheekily, thrusting his hands into his pockets. “If you lost any, I would’ve given you mine!”
The long overdue confession comes four graduations later, with three second buttons identical to the one Kasamatsu keeps in his wallet.
