Summary
“Hello, Lady Navia. Come to bother me again?” Clorinde asks with a monotone voice, eyes unmoving from the dancers. The heels sounded in her ear again until she felt an arm brush against hers.
“Why so cold?” The blonde’s piercing blue eyes found hers. “I thought we were friends. Well, acquaintances, as you always put it. But I’d like to think we’ve seen each other enough that we’re friends.”
This earns a scoff from Clorinde, which makes Navia giggle in such a manner that would make any person swoon, except the stone-faced Clorinde.
“We’ve seen each other enough because you’re always causing trouble. I put an end to trouble.” Clorinde responds coolly, glancing at the blonde’s usual outfit, but she was decked in jewels she didn’t own. Navia’s response is a laugh, her gloved hand covering her mouth to muffle the noise.
“Do you? Then why aren’t I in jail yet?”Clorinde finds herself at a banquet and encounters a certain rival she's been trying to arrest for a while.
