Wonwoo remembers the fuss when Kim Mingyu was hired, everyone speculating about what he would be like. Would he be handsome? That was Miss Kang’s top priority. Polite? Well, Mr. Lee had zero tolerance for disrespect. Quiet? That one was Wonwoo’s biggest concern.
When Mingyu finally arrived at the company, he was ridiculously handsome, enough for Miss Kang to start fantasizing about their wedding immediately. Polite to the point of charming the entire office, and as loud as a hyperactive puppy. The stereotypical charming alpha, everyone adored him.
Everyone except Jeon Wonwoo, of course.

These twelve men have accidentally got us into a scandal by spending WAY too much time on the r/Soulmate subreddit and now our company wants us to come in for a meeting at 7am. I’m not asking for advice, I’m simply asking for prayers.
(aka; canon compliant universe where soulmates are a thing and hoshi makes it his mission to get his members to start using reddit. it works. it also backfires.)

He didn’t get first place in math. The name that appears right under the subject at the top of the page isn’t his. It’s-
“Kim Mingyu,” he realizes. A couple people turn to look at him, startled by the sound of his voice, but he ignores them. He’s too busy staring at the ‘2’ next to his own name. He can’t remember the last time it wasn’t a ‘1’.
As if he sensed Wonwoo’s murderous tendencies, Kim Mingyu turns in his direction, and their eyes meet. Wonwoo has no idea what expression his face is making.
Kim Mingyu winks.

Summary
In Incheon, Mingyu reminds himself that Wonwoo's been up to his ears in a project for his social service job and that weekends have been his only rest day. It does help a little when he feels particularly sulky that Wonwoo won't be coming to watch the show with the other members.
Intellectually, he knows that it's not Wonwoo's fault but it stings all the same.
Joshua gives them both an extra tight squeeze when he hugs them after the show, familiar with the particular downturn of their mouths and teasing them gently.
Mingyu and Seungcheol both get a little drunk and a little weepy during dinner and fall all over each other praising the other for a job well done.
The members and and the staff all coo and indulge them and no one even makes fun of them the next morning
