Summary
The Great Reckoning saw the total collapse of society hundreds of years ago. Now, only the rich can afford to eat real meat, while the poor have to make do with the byproducts of meat farms.
Evora has lived amongst the cattle her entire life, and now she's up for the chopping block. Her life is irreversibly changed once she enters the slaughterhouse, and not for the reason she thinks.
Meanwhile, Elder Aikouocha, a Yautja certainly feeling his age, decides to visit Earth after a lengthy absence only to discover this morbid new way of order.

When a group of aliens appear in her sanctuary, her world is about to be turned upside down and fast. Not only do they move in and start acting like they lived there, but they also seem to think that her place was some kind of sanctuary.
She soon finds herself being watched by an interested Yautja who seemed to be drawn to her for some reason she can't figure out.
