“So you want me.” Armand takes a sip of his sazerac. There’s a look on his face that Daniel’s only seen two other places: in the mirror the third time he did bath salts, and in the eyes of a stray dog he saw on the side of an overpass in Idaho, gnawing through the bones of roadkill that had already been scavenged beyond recognition. He wouldn’t be surprised if the roadkill was wearing the look, too.
