“Still… furious.”
“Likewise.”
Three round buttons in a column. One at the top with a pearlescent sheen. One at the bottom, the red almost entirely obscured by grime. And one in the middle with swirls of green and blue representing land and sea.
All gone. Poof. Like they were never there in the first place.
“A total… pillock.”
“It takes one to know one, as… as… as they say.”
The lack of buttons was the first thing Crowley had noticed when he stepped onto the lift.
Well. Not the very first thing.
A lift is as good a place as any for a reunion.

Crowley was staring blankly at the kettle as it began to heat up when an idea came to him. What if - rather than sneak around each other and act like masturbation was secretive and taboo - they just did it out in the open, at the same time? They were both straight, so it wasn't like it would change anything between them, and Crowley was sure he'd heard stories of straight men getting together to watch porn and jerk off. Yeah, that was the perfect solution! Now all he had to do was get Aziraphale on board. He heard the shower cut off and poured himself a cup of coffee as he considered his pitch.
"Angel!" Crowley's greeting was full of cheer, his smile bright as he handed Aziraphale a perfectly crafted cup of tea.
Aziraphale narrowed his eyes in distrust, "...what do you want?"

“Best be going, then.” Crowley’d pushed his glasses up his nose and slid into his jacket. There hadn’t been a beat of hesitation, not one look of longing…actually, he hadn’t looked at Aziraphale at all. “I’ll just see myself out.”
“Crowley, don’t–” Aziraphale’d grabbed for his arm, but ended up with air. “I’ll only be gone for a smidge. Then I’ll be back, right as rain. You’ll see.”
“Yeah, ‘course you will. Don’t worry ‘bout me. I’ll turn up. Bad pennies always do.”
A year after leaving--the second time he'd left Crowley to do Heaven's bidding--Aziraphale is finally able to return. But what will he do if there's no home to return to?
