Ten years after the Great Calamity, the Shrine of Resurrection is damaged and Link's parents fight to save their son and Hyrule along with him.
i.e. Link's parents play BotW while protecting their boy and they are ready to take on Ganon himself if they have to.

Summary
Sometime between Link’s endless trips to rid of all the monsters Ganon had so kindly created, Zelda had insisted she come along on one. She badgered him about a, “buddy system,” and he’d argued that there’d been no, “buddy system,” for the entire stretch of time after his awakening, but she’d been adamant about accompanying him on his trip to the Great Plateau. Link didn’t want to endanger her, but he also knew that arguing with Zelda after she’d put her mind to something was a fruitless endeavor, so he’d simply sighed and nodded. Zelda had looked beyond relieved for a beat before she covered it up with a curt, satisfied nod.
If Link didn’t know any better, he’d say Zelda was worried about him.
And maybe she had a right to be, Link thought, as he felt a club made of bone thwack his temple with so much force he was knocked off the edge of the snowy cliff. Maybe, Link mused as he felt icy cold water hit his back and swallow him whole, Zelda’s voice screaming his name from a distance. Just maybe, this whole, “buddy system,” thing would be of use.

SYNOPSIS: Princess Asha makes a wish so powerful that it's answered by a cosmic force called Star. With Star's help, Asha now faces the daunting task of saving her kingdom from the malevolent King Magnifico and the manipulative Queen Amaya.

Yet year after year, Asha found herself unable to cast even the simplest of spells, let alone grant a wish.
With her 18th birthday coming up, Asha knows if she is unable to grant her first wish by the time of her 18th birthday, she will have to abdicate the throne. Magnifico grows more unstable by the day, and Asha fears if she doesn't take the throne from Magnifico, he will never give it up.
With only months left, Asha seeks help from the stars in a desperate attempt to grant her first wish. Unexpectedly, her plea is answered, and Asha finds herself not only granted the power to cast wishes but also falling in love with her celestial savior. With the clock ticking, she agrees to a cosmic pact that could save her kingdom, unaware of the steep price she must pay in the end.

Asha, adopted princess of Rosa and self proclaimed dreamer, has a good life with her people. She believes wholeheartedly in her dad's philosophy, or, she did, until she saw how people changed after the wishes were taken. They didn't have the drive to pursue the wishes anymore; they didn't even remember their wish. There's a small part of her mind that wishes that there was a different way to do it all, but, her dad does it this way for a reason, right?
Or, Wish was bland but could have been great so I'm putting my spin on it and hoping I fix it.
