“You look very handsome tonight,” he says, his eyes flickering back down to the flowers. “Do you have… plans?”
Six months they’ve been back together, and Armand still doesn’t seem to realize that the only plans Daniel ever wants to have are ones that involve him. Like he can’t possibly allow himself to hold out any hope that Daniel might actually want to spend time with him.
“Well, yeah, hopefully,” Daniel says, holding out the flowers, his palms sweating. “Be my Valentine?”
Armand’s eyes go wide and he looks at the flowers again. “Are these for me?”
“No, they’re for the Robinson’s next door,” Daniel says, and immediately regrets it when Armand’s brow crinkles. “Yeah, babe, they’re for you.”

Finally, Daniel sank into the couch and drew a blanket up over his legs. Switched on the TV to a random program and pretended to be absorbed in it, as if he wasn’t vibrating with nerves at the thought of Armand’s arrival. He curled into a ball, digging himself deeper under the blanket, and tried to quiet his thoughts, take them somewhere nicer. It didn’t work. Not really. Every other thought was intermixed with images of the dirty bathroom, of the water in the sink, the feeling of hands pinning his arms behind him. Daniel shook his head like he could physically clear the thoughts. He trained his eyes on the TV, curled his knees up to his chest, and waited for the sun to set.
OR: An old friend from Daniel's past comes to visit him in New York. When things turn violent, Daniel escapes and attempts to hide the truth from Armand while dealing with the aftermath of the attempted assault.

Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.

Armand looks up at him, all wide-eyed and innocent as hell. Then he looks down at himself like he’s just noticed he’s wearing it.
“Oh, this? It’s called an Oodie.”
“An Oodie?” Daniel repeats. “Is that what they’re calling Snuggies these days?”
“No, Daniel,” Armand says. “An Oodie and a Snuggie are two different things. A Snuggie does not sufficiently cover one’s backside, an Oodie does.”
Daniel laughs. “Yeah, that’s uh… not exactly selling me on it, babe.”

He's moved even closer into Daniel's space, so there's barely a hair's breadth between them. His grip on Daniel's wrist has slackened, just a touch, but the one on his chin remains firm. His pupils are a little bit dilated and his breathing (which he's demonstrated on numerous disturbing occasions he doesn't actually need to do) is quick and shallow. Daniel huffs a laugh.
“Oh my God,” he says. “Do you have a thing for glasses? They getting you going, boss?”
