“Easy, Smallville. This isn’t how you treat a lady.” Lois said in a grating tone. She tugged arm free and stopped in her tracks.
“Let me know when you find one. I’ll be sure to be on my best behavior then.” Clark turned towards her.
Lois just smirked, and he braced slightly, knowing he had set her up for whatever retort she was about to say. Her now-free arm crossed over her chest as she leaned to one side, putting her weight on one hip. Clark’s eyes followed the movement, in spite of himself.
“Are you saying I bring out your worst behavior?” Lois teased. Clark’s jaw tensed.
“Maybe your delinquency is just contagious.” Clark retorted.
“Maybe I just have more of an influence on you than you’d like to admit.” Lois replied.
“Yeah, not for the better.”
“Am I corrupting you, Smallville?” Lois’s smirk grew into a full grin.--
In which Clark ruminates on his decision to invite Lois to stay at the farmhouse during the first few weeks of his senior year, but can't bring himself to regret it.Season 4 AU.

Summary
Lois turns on the bed, ignoring the surprised grunt of the person on the other side of it. Not bothering to look at his face, she pulls both her legs to her chest, plants her feet square on the guy's very, very broad stomach, and kicks him out as hard as she can.
She watches in satisfaction as he tumbles out of sight with an "Oomph!" but Lois didn't take a lot of time to admire her handiwork. Or footwork rather. She isn't stupid. Instead, she rolls out of bed herself, grabs the lamp on the nightstand, and lifts it over her head, ready and able to inflict pain when necessary.
"Okay, jackass," she says, willing her voice not to quiver in any way or form. "I'm going to count to three, and by then I want you to--"
"--Lois?"

“It was sort of a last minute vacation, wasn’t it?” Clark said, smiling at her teasingly.
“Yeah, well I’ve got a pretty tightly wound Bolt Reflex.” Lois breathed out quickly.
Clark’s face fell for a minute, processing. Then a huge, smug grin spread across his face.
He knew kissing her in the bullpen last week had triggered her fight-or-flight response. And Lois almost always chose flight when it came to her love life.
“Is this about what happened?” He asked.
